Loved this book. Until now, I did not realize exactly what palm oil was. Obviously, from the Palm tree, but then, the coconut oil I've been successfully using for several years comes from the palm tree. I believe, there are various species of the palm tree, just as there are in other trees. I discovered that the Palm Oil, is also, very beneficial to ones health and well-being - chemically providing many nutrients not found in coconut oil. So, they compliment each other. I'm now incorporating both of these good oils in to my cooking, medicine cabinet, and cosmetic drawer. The Palm Kernel Oil, derived from the seed of the palm fruit is very much chemically as coconut oil. Very interesting to note that an acre grove of palm oil, and palm kernel oil is very environmentally friendly, as all nature surrounding them can remain natural for the natural habitat of wildlife. Each tree at maturity, which is approximately 3 years, will produce a large pod of palm fruit, weighing from 25-50 lbs, each month for 25 years. It's amazing. I'm constantly thinking - God created our bodies from the dust of the ground, and he provides for these bodies from the dust of the ground. Just my opinion - I think herein lies the answer to many of our devastating illnesses, e.g. cancer, heart and Alzheimer, just to name a few. I love this book. It is so fascinating. I actually read it borrowed from the public library, but needed to have it close at hand to show other people. Otherwise they think I am crazy.
Bruce Fife has done it again!
"Mr. Coconut Miracle", and the author of the instant classic "Saturated Fat May Save Your Life" has hit another "grand slam" with The Palm Oil Miracle.
Few people in the US of A know anything about Palm Oil - and how GREAT it is for our health.
Instantly dispelling the lies we've been "fed" by the Vegetable Oil industry, Consumer "Advocate" Groups and the medical establishement about how saturated fat (there's more than one) clogs our arteries & raises cholesterol, we learn that Palm Oil is full of heart FRIENDLY nutrients, such as Carotenoids and "Super vitamin E" (Tocotrienols) as well as CoQ10 and other wonderful substances. Loved this book and all of Bruce Fife's books. I would rate this as #1. Very informative. Never heard of Red Palm Oil before. Too bad for me cause I have traveled a lot to Ghana and could have brought it back on each of my trips as a flight attendant.
The book is very informational and I bought a bottle of the Red Palm oil online and I use it every day in place of the olive oil I was using. I'll find out one day if it works or not I imagine ) ... but I cook with it and use it on salads with either organic red wine vinegar or any of the low fat salad dressings I have in the fridge. I hate to throw all those away so I'll just use them up and add the oil to them until they are gone then i'll go with oil and vinegar. I bought the oil at www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com and I like it better than the kind Sprouts carries. Anyway, I hope the books is right! Oh and I find the oil is actually tasteless not yummy like some reviews say.
Be careful when you read this book. I went through my pantry and tossed all of my oils and foods with processed fats and oils not in the tropical oil family. It will make a believer out of you and make you want to change your life, one mouthful of food at a time.
Got us started using red palm oil. Any of Dr. Fire's books are life-changing. Any of his books will change your health for the better. I won't stop until I have read everything he has written.
The Palm Oil Miracle is very informative. Red Palm oil is even better than coconut oil. I have used red palm oil to stop a cold in its tracks on two occasions. I am a firm believer in coconut oil and the book on red palm oil just adds to the information on a very helpful natural product. I would recommend this book to any of my friends who are interested in maintaining good health.
